Originally the Theta-class recon vessel found aboard the Olympus, the Valkyrie has become the primary aircraft of the TSC and the symbol of the faction's dominance over the skies of Earth.

This versatile craft was redesigned by TSC engineers for two different mission profiles: the Assault Valkyrie and the Cargo Valkyrie.

The Cargo Valkyrie was modified to serve as a reliable troop transport and cargo ship, sacrificing most of its offensive capabilities for a large cargo hold. They're used to resupply TSC bases and deploy soldiers for combat operations.

The Assault Valkyrie was designed for air superiority and air-to-ground fire support, and is often called in to hammer the TSC's enemies with its impressive armament. However, the Valkyries' original Alien weapons were removed and replaced with more easily-repaired Human technology.

The old Alien technology is currently being examined and reverse-engineered by Dr. Nylus and his team for future refitting. The Valkyries have also been repainted in dark grey and red, with the symbol of the TSC emblazoned on their wings.

Standard Valkyrie Assault Craft armament is currently composed of Human-designed kinetic energy and explosive weapons including:

-30 ballistic missiles able to fired at a rate of 360rpm.

-A belt-fed Auto-Cannon that fires 20mm rounds at a rate of 2000rpm.

-Two 0.12 kiloton tactical nuclear warheads.

-A payload of 8 incendiary explosives for use in carpet bombing operations against enemy forces in a concentrated area

-A yet unknown and classified High Yield Concentrated Explosive Energy Weapon. This weapon fires a  strong, concentrated, and continuous beam of plasma. This weapon is currently in development, but recent TSC Science Team tests have deemed it fit for field use. It's believed that this weapon will replace either the formentioned Autocanon, the 30 Ballistic Missiles, or both.

Valkyries have the highest velocity of any form of vehicle in both the TSC and the world as a whole. Approximate cruising speed is around 2880 km/h, (1790 mph/ Mach 2.35) meaning a 30 minute travel time from the DC area to the Olympus in orbit (740km), or roughly 3 hours from the Olympus to Moscow. Travel time to the surface of the moon would be roughly 5 days and 12 hours during the moon's periapsis with the Olympus.
